East Branch Swamp
Clinton
DESCRIPTION: This bog has a nice trail bisecting the area, making one of the more accessible bogs in the area. Typical bog species such as Nashville Warbler and White-throated Sparrow can be found. Northern Goshawk nest in the area.

DIRECTIONS: From PA 144 and PA 120 in Renovo, go south on PA 144 for 9.4 miles to the intersection with Beech Creek Road. This intersection is a triangle, with Beech Creek Road splitting to intersect PA 144 at two locations. From the second intersection, continue on PA 144 another 0.2 mile to a small parking area on the left. There are signs before and after the parking area. An orange-blazed trail starts just east of the parking area and goes south through the bog for about one mile to Coon Run Road. Most of the birds can be observed from the trail, but if you plan on straying off of the trail, be sure to bring a GPS. If coming north on Beech Creek Road, when you get to PA 144, turn left (west) and go 0.2 mile to the parking area.
